Let’s Talk Skin

Oh Hello!

This body we have is an engineering marvel. It is designed to regenerate and renew itself throughout the entirety of our lives. Our role in this process is to be mindful of what we put in and on our bodies. Let’s focus again on the skin.

Your skin is a living organism. It’s the largest organ on your body. For the average adult it weighs in at about 6 pounds.

Our skin is a barrier. It protects our body from UV rays, pollution, infection, inflammation and much more. This skin we’re in regenerates itself every 28 days. It’s our job to keep it healthy. Drink plenty of water, eat nutritious food, get enough sleep, and always evaluate your skin care routine. Do you use store bought soap? Many of these soaps are detergents. Read the ingredient list. Soaps are made from mostly plant oils, and have been around for thousands of years. Detergents are made with man-made chemicals, and have been around since WW1.
